Our history
Cognia represents 150 years of personal customer service, quality products, and the ability to renew.
Cognia’s history is marked by three important milestones. Bil-Service was established in Sandefjord in 1937, in 1959 bilSpiten was established in Kongsberg. Volmax was established in Sandefjord in 1997.
Volmax was a result of a merger between Bil-Service Last og Buss, bilSpiten’s truck business and Jorkjend Last og Buss in Telemark.
The strong and successful collaboration between the owners of Volmax is continued in Cognia, and the Cognia logo’s three “bricks” symbolize the three owner constellations.
