Quipd has been selected to supply new ambulances to Helse Vest and Helse Midt-Norge. The agreement is part of one of Norway’s largest national ambulance procurements in recent years, with Quipd expected to deliver around 130 ambulances.
When ambulance crews respond to an emergency, every second can be critical. Their vehicles must perform optimally, regardless of weather, road conditions or the nature of the mission.
Through the national framework agreement entered into by Sykehusinnkjøp on behalf of Norway’s regional health authorities, Quipd has been selected to supply ambulances to Helse Vest and Helse Midt-Norge.
The agreement includes a total of 327 committed purchases and 133 options, meaning that up to 460 ambulances may be delivered during the contract period. Quipd is expected to supply around 130 of these.
More than a contract

Developed with users at the centre
The new national standard ambulance is the result of an extensive development process, with particular emphasis on safety, ergonomics, working environment and functionality. The specification comprises 227 requirements and has been developed in close dialogue with the people who use the ambulances in their daily work.
The solutions include improved ergonomics, more efficient workflows, optimised storage solutions and measures designed to provide a safer working environment for ambulance personnel.
